The Delta-Person Project, a 132 MW natural gas-fired peaking facility located near Albuquerque, New Mexico, commenced commercial operation in June 2000. The Project is owned by Delta Person Limited Partnership, in which Atlantic Power indirectly owns a 40% partnership interest. ArcLight, Olympus Power LLC and John Hancock Life Insurance Company own the remaining partnership interests.
The Delta-Person Project sells its output to PNM (formerly The Public Service Company of New Mexico) under a long-term power purchase agreement that expires in 2020. The Project purchases fuel from PNM Gas Services, the costs of which are passed through to PNM.
In December 2012, the Partnership entered into an agreement with PNM to sell the facility. The sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2013.
