The Oxnard Project is a 49 MW combined cycle cogeneration facility located in Oxnard, California. Atlantic Power indirectly owns 100% of the Project.
The Project serves the headquarters and principal refrigerated processing operations of Boskovich Farms, Inc., an integrated vegetable and fruit grower, processor, packager, and refrigerated/frozen food storage company. Steam produced by the facility is used to drive an ammonia absorption refrigeration unit. Oxnard sells all of its capacity and electric energy to Southern California Edison under a long-term power purchase agreement expiring in 2020.
J.P. Morgan is the natural gas supplier for the Project under a gas supply agreement that expires in 2012. Atlantic Power operates and manages the plant.
Oxnard joined Atlantic Power through our acquisition of Capital Power Income LP in November 2011.
